Father Daughter Dance 2013

Every year our church does a Father Daughter Dance. It's always fun for me to get Payton all dolled up and she loves going on a "date" with her Daddy to dinner (this year it was Applebee's) and then to the dance. Where she was apparently the last one on the dance floor.

Swim Lessons

Payton was in swim lessons again with Mrs. Parker. She started out a little aprehensive the first few days but then remembered how much she loved both swim lessons and Mrs. Parker and enjoyed the rest of her two weeks of lessons.

Easter

Easter is easily my favorite holiday of the year because it's a reminder that we have been rescued, that Christ has provided a way, that this life is not all there is. It's a reminder of HOPE!

This Easter was no different as we celebrated Easter with our Church family and watched many get baptized. We also celebrated with our own family with an Easter egg hunt and some swimming.

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

We took Payton to the Arboretum near Superior this weekend to enjoy a picnic lunch and some of the nice weather we had before the summer heat hits. She walked close to a mile and really seemed to enjoy the freedom to explore.

We finished up our afternoon in Superior at an ice cream shop. There was a mining festival going on so main street was blocked off and there was a small carnival set up with live music. Made for a fun and unexpected end to our day!

Zoo

We took advantage of the great weather we had this weekend and went to the Zoo. Payton loves the Zoo especially when daddy comes!
